Riding the new Ninebot Max G30 Electric Scooter
The box arrived! I was very excited to open it to find the all the new Ninebot Max G30 electric scooter made by Ninebot Segway. The branded packaging is neat and although the kickscooter weighs 19kg, it makes up in so many other ways. With it’s striking and aggressive black and yellow colour scheme, and a top speed of 30kmh, this escooter is not for the faint hearted.
I was very excited to get outside and test it! As soon as I kicked off I noticed not only the difference in power and responsiveness compares to Xiaomi and Ninebot ES2 and ES4 range but how much more comfortable the ride was. The chunky, durable frame and spongy front and rear suspension allows the Ninebot Max to glide across tough surfaces with ease. So far I was very impressed.
Even in energy saving mode (ECO mode) the Ninebot Max was riding around 10kmh (giving you a very long ride time) but it wasn’t long until I was changing the 3 speed option to sports mode allowing me to ride up to 30kmh (as I had the global version). However, I did see the battery drain a little quicker in sports mode, especially when climbing steep hills. It’s still impressive though that the Ninebot Max can go up to a range of 65km on one charge.
I noticed the inflatable tyres were more durable than the Xiaomi m3t5 electric scooter’s tyres, which is very reassuring as it can be tricky changing a tyre on these electric scooters.
The folding mechanism of Ninebot Max G30 is very similar to that of the Xiaomi and Ninebot models, and in one-step easy fold, it’s compact and fitted easily in the back seat or boot of my car, ready for my next exploration.
Once I got home, charging the scooter was quick. The Ninebot Max electric scooter has two options, as it has a built-in charger so all you need is the lead, which is perfect when you are on the go. Otherwise, you can use the standard ES series charger which takes around 6 hours to fully charge.
With an advised maximum rider weight of 100kg and a safety rating of IPX5 (with some parts at IPX7), this electric scooter can be ridden in most elements and on any terrain. I absolutely loved the Ninebot Max G30, so much, that I purchased another one for my friend from Scooter Hub.
